Our commitment to accessibility
At TMJDirectory.com we are committed to making our website's content accessible and user-friendly to everyone. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, and we treat accessibility as an ongoing part of how we build — not a one-time checkbox.
If you are seeking a therapist who is blind or who specializes in working with sight-impaired or blind patients, you will find them in our directory by entering your ZIP code here and choosing "Serves blind & low-vision patients" under the Feature filter. Providers mark this (along with wheelchair accessibility and ASL/interpreter friendliness) on their own listings.
Having trouble using this site?
If you are having difficulty viewing or navigating the content on this website, or notice any content, feature, or functionality that you believe is not fully accessible to people with disabilities, please call our Customer Service team at +1 (816) 355-6842 or email [email protected] with "Disabled Access" in the subject line, and provide a description of the specific URL and feature you feel is not fully accessible — or a suggestion for improvement.
We take your feedback seriously and will consider it as we evaluate ways to accommodate all of our customers and our overall accessibility policies. Additionally, while we do not control such vendors, we strongly encourage vendors of third-party digital content on our site to provide content that is accessible and user-friendly.
What we do
- Semantic HTML with labeled forms, alt text on meaningful images, and keyboard-reachable controls.
- Color choices checked for contrast against our backgrounds.
- Motion kept minimal, and decorative animation disabled for users with a reduced motion system preference.
- Pages built to work without JavaScript where possible — every provider and state page is served as plain, readable HTML.
Known limitations
- The interactive map is inherently visual. Every provider shown on the map is also available in the accessible list view and on plain-HTML state pages at /tmj-specialists/.
- Some older educational pages are still being rebuilt to our current standards.
Response time
You can also reach us through the contact form. We aim to respond within 5 business days and to fix verified barriers promptly. If you need information from this site in another format, ask and we'll provide it.
