Terms of Use

Plain-English summary: TMJDirectory is an informational directory — not a medical provider, not an emergency service, and not a party to your care. Providers are independent businesses; verify credentials and insurance yourself before booking. Use the site honestly, don't scrape it, and understand that we provide it "as is." Claimed and Premium listings appear above unclaimed ones, and they're labeled.

1. Acceptance

TMJDirectory is owned and operated by Stanley Wellness LLC ("TMJDirectory," "we," "us"). By using tmjdirectory.com you agree to these Terms of Service, our Privacy Policy, and — if you are a listed provider — the Provider Participation Agreement. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

2. Who’s who — definitions

Providers listed on TMJDirectory are independent businesses and are not employees, agents, representatives, or contractors of TMJDirectory.

3. What TMJDirectory is (and is not)

4. For visitors

5. Listings, ordering, and labels

Listing order is deterministic and disclosed: claimed and Premium listings appear above unclaimed listings in search results and on state pages, and carry a visible ★ Premium label. Google star ratings shown on cards come from public Google data, displayed with their source. We do not accept payment to alter ratings or suppress accurate information. Program badges (Founding Member, Round Table) reflect participation in our provider programs, not clinical rankings. Separately, some outbound product links on our educational pages (for example, on /resources) are affiliate links: TMJDirectory may earn a commission on purchases made through them, at no extra cost to you, and this is also disclosed on the page where the links appear.

6. Accounts

Provider sign-in uses one-time email links; you're responsible for maintaining control of your email account. You must be 18 or older to hold an account. We may suspend accounts used fraudulently, including false claiming of another provider's listing.

7. Acceptable use

8. Intellectual property

The site, its content, and the TMJDirectory™ name and logo are protected — see the Copyright & DMCA Policy for ownership, permitted use, and how to report infringement.

9. Third-party sites and services

Listings link to provider websites, booking systems, and phone numbers we don't control. Maps and geocoding use third-party services. We're not responsible for third-party content, availability, or practices.

10. Disclaimers

THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED — INCLUDING ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT LISTINGS ARE CURRENT OR ERROR-FREE, THAT ANY PROVIDER IS SUITABLE FOR YOU, OR THAT THE SITE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR SECURE.

11. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, TMJDIRECTORY AND ITS OWNER, OFFICERS, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS ARISING FROM YOUR SELECTION OF, OR CARE RECEIVED FROM, ANY PROVIDER. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SITE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS ($100). Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations; where a limitation is not permitted, it applies to the fullest extent permitted.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless TMJDirectory from claims, damages, and reasonable legal fees arising out of your misuse of the site, your violation of these terms, or — for providers — the content of your listing or the services you deliver to your patients.

13. Dispute resolution & governing law

Most issues can be fixed fast — start with our complaint and dispute process. Before filing any formal claim, you agree to contact us and allow 30 days for informal resolution. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and any action must be brought in the state or federal courts located in Missouri — except that either party may use small-claims court where eligible.

14. Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for violations of these terms. Providers may remove their listings at any time. Sections that by their nature should survive (IP, disclaimers, liability limits, indemnification, governing law) survive termination.

15. Changes

We may update these terms as the directory grows; the "Last updated" date above changes when we do, and material changes will be notified to signed-in providers. Continued use after a change is acceptance.
