Cookie Policy

Last updated: July 25, 2026
Short version: We use Google Analytics to understand site traffic, browser localStorage to remember your preferences and sign-in, and Cloudflare for security. We do not use advertising pixels (no Facebook Pixel, no ad retargeting) and we do not sell data derived from cookies.

What we use and why

Analytics — Google Analytics 4 (consent-based)

Google Analytics loads only if you accept it in the cookie banner shown on your first visit — until you accept (or if you decline), the Analytics script is never fetched and no analytics cookie is set. If you accept, we use it to count visits, see which pages are useful, and understand roughly where visitors come from; Google sets cookies (names beginning with _ga) for this. The data we see is aggregate — traffic patterns, not identified individuals. Google's own use of this data is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

Functional — browser localStorage

The site stores small values in your browser's localStorage (not cookies): an anonymous session ID, favorites you heart, display preferences, and — if you are a signed-in provider — your Supabase authentication session. These never leave your browser except as needed to serve you.

Security — Cloudflare

Our host and CDN, Cloudflare, may set strictly-necessary cookies (such as bot-protection tokens) to keep the site fast and defend against abuse.

Note: if you decline after previously accepting, existing _ga cookies stop being used on this site but may remain in your browser until they expire — clear them in your browser settings to remove them immediately.

Changes

If we add a new category of cookie or analytics tool, we will update this page and its "Last updated" date first.
